Ingenix is delivering a new Web-based interactive reporting tool for United Health Care's largest customers, ASO employers and UHC's individual health plans. This is a 2 year $18 million dollar investment. The project had difficulties prior to my arrival. This is officially termed a "recovery" project. This initiative will also allow for the replacement of a large legacy System (CRS) used for reporting from the Data Warehouse. I am the Project Manger of release 8.0 of a project with 9 scheduled releases. My responsibilities include oversight of the BA's, Application Developers, Testers, and the multiple development environments. My role includes review and completion of:
Business process review and documentation
Application development management
Project management improvement
Project Management Coaching |
Release 8.0 also creates and populates two new
Data Dimensions in the UHC data warehouse. These dimensions are populated
by multiple disparate systems. I am also the relationship manager with the
PMO and assure that the required project artifacts are maintained. Depending on the specific
element of the Software Development Lifecycle for this project we are using
Rational/Agile or a Waterfall software development process. The 8.0
project was staffed using a matrixed management system utilizing as many as 75
FTEs at one time.
